It's Summer. Kids Eat Free!
The Council Bluffs Community School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children ages 1-18 without charge, June 3 - Aug 2. District Updates 2023-24 School Year Calendar
The Board of Education approved an updated calendar for the 2023-24 school year. The first day of school will still be on August 23rd. Changes include changes to the winter and spring breaks.

School Bus Routes and Schedules Posted on School Websites
Parents are invited to review the most recent school bus stop schedule on their school's webstie. Please check back regularly to see if any information/times have changed. For the first week of school, we ask for your patience if any of the routes are delayed. Pleae contact your school or First Student bus company if you have questions or if the bus is more than 10 minutes late. First Student: 712-320-8999.

Members of the school district community participated in Community Town Hall meetings to learn about progress made on the district's Strategic Goals, hear about the feedback received during a recent ThoughtExchange survey, and ask questions about the goals and future plans. Former Tinley School 1953 Time Capsule Contents Revealed
The time capsule was sealed into the cornerstone of Tinley School on the corner of Avenue G and N. 8th Street in Council Bluffs in 1953. Now, the contents have been revealed! Thanks to the Council Bluffs Public Library and the CB Alumni & Friends Network, many of the items are now on temporary display on the main floor for all to see. History buffs, alumni and former staff at the building may also want to watch the video when the time capsule was opened to reveal the contents.

District Shares Fall Sports Spectator Guidelines; Invites Fans to Watch Games Online
The Council Bluffs Community School District has developed guidelines for spectators to meet health and safety guidelines during our Fall Athletic Season. The biggest change for this year will be limitations on the number of fans/spectators allowed at football and volleyball games as well as swim meets at Kirn Pool.

School Year to Begin in Hybrid Phase
Superintendent Dr. Murillo shared at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday her decision to begin our Council Bluffs Community School District school year in the Hybrid Phase. With fewer students in school on a daily basis, and layers of health and safety measures in place, our goal is to safely reopen our schools and keep them open.
