The Council Buffs Community School District provides a technology-rich environment for its students. All students in grades 2-12 are assigned a personal computing device to use each day.  Younger students have access durring the school day, while students in grades 6-12 take their device home. Each student is issued their own device and is expected to use it appropriately. The current computing device is the Acer C-771 Chromebook.

The technology experience for students is built on four focused statements that articulate the WHY?  There are specific, grade level expectations for technology skills and experiences articulated throughout the curriculum.  In the Council Bluffs Community School District, technology is taught as an integrated part of core instruction, not a stand-alone subject.

Families are also encouraged to participate in the District's Cooperative Damage & Loss Program.  The program provides for reduced cost of repair or replacement, kind of like insurance.  Click Here to see the program details and form.

All District students have access to the Google Apps for Education (GAFE) productivity platform including Email, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc... In addition, a large proportion of the District's curriculum resources and assessments are accessed online. Any concerns about your student's access to computers and digital resources should first be addressed to the school he/she attends.
